In the first and second of our three-part series, in which we reveal some of our favourite Shopify apps for achieving specific ecommerce objectives, we discussed building brand trust and optimising on-site conversions

In our final instalment, we outline some easy and effective ways to re-engage with customers and encourage reconversions using apps from the Shopify eco-system. 

Recurring Orders

Automated recurring orders are a great way to add predictability to a store's revenue, allowing businesses to plan and forecast with more certainty. Naturally, stores that incorporate a subscription model for services or consumable products are able to focus marketing resources on acquiring new customers while maintaining a growing returning base, consequently increasing their total number of sales at a faster rate.

Seal Subscriptions is an app that allows Shopify stores to offer subscription services to customers. The app simplifies back-end subscription management and includes features to increase on-site conversions. Seal Subscriptions allows stores to flexibly provide billing frequency options to customers, and offer incentive (discount) options to encourage regular renewals.

Loyalty & Rewards

Customer loyalty and rewards programs serve a similar purpose. They appeal to core consumer drivers, such as status, group belongingness, and goal attainment. Loyalty and rewards programs typically include either a single or multiple tier "VIP" system in which customers accrue points towards attaining complementary offers. This, in turn, encourages customers to repeat-purchase. An industry leading app for enhancing customer retention is Smile Rewards. It's easy to set up and manage, and it includes various customisation options to ensure brand alignment.

Customer Re-engagement

Finally, an email marketing platform allowing for re-engagement with customers is indispensable. One such tool, and perhaps the gold-standard in seamless data capture from Shopify visitor activity is Klaviyo. Klaviyo enables the creation of targeted and automated email campaigns based on customer behaviour and browsing patterns. Klaviyo provides customer segmentation based on purchase history, browsing behaviour, and more, allowing businesses to send highly personalised emails. Klaviyo also incorporates pre-purchase automation features (such as abandoned cart emails) to help businesses connect with customers at every stage of the shopping journey.
